Damaged COPR Document - How can I get my SIN?

Need urgent help!
I landed Vancouver as landed immigrant on December 04, 2015. Before applying for SIN, I accidentally damaged the client copy of COPR document, though I have taped it properly and it is in readable condition, the officer at Service Canada office told me that either I should wait for my PR card or should apply for replacement of COPR document. The current time line for replacement is around 6 months and to get my PR card will take around 2 months. Is there anyway that I could get my SIN.
Thanks
