Hi, desperately need your advice! Me and my friends were playing cricket. It’s my brother who was batting. I tried to catch the ball or stop it with my hands. But it was too fast and hit my face. I put my hand on my mouth and I saw blood and a tooth in my hand. I ran to my home with my brother and went to the wash basin, started washing my mouth. And then I realised something hanging from my upper jaw. It was a central incisor. I pulled it out. My friend suggested me to consult Emergency Dental Clinic, in Toronto. Does anybody know about this dental clinic? Kindly post your suggestions.

Hi There,
Thanks for sharing your question and situation with us. We can appreciate that this is a difficult situation to be in.
From my understanding, you are in need of an urgent dentist appointment due to a sports related injury.
The short answer to your question is, contact your own dentist office first, if you do not have one you can use Ontario Dental Association Find a Dentist service. Type in your postal code or city to find a list of 5 dentists in your area. You can do the search many times to see different lists of dentists in your area.
You can read more about finding a dentist in our How do I find a good dentist? article on Settlement.Org
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

I had a similar experience when I was playing football a few days ago. My tooth got knocked out after I tried to jump and head the ball and instead hit another player who was trying to defend it. There were things to be done before getting to the dentist for the dental emergency. Rinsing and cleaning the tooth to get rid of any dust is step one as it would prevent causing any infection when reattached to the jaw. To stop the bleeding apply ice to the cheek to avoid further swelling. Try to put the knocked-out teeth back to the socket without damaging the gum or tissue. Rushing to the dentist should be the next step to get the required medical attention.
