Good morning,
I'm going to Canada, Toronto soon and looking for the information about which food can I bring in Canada.
I've found some information about it(the link: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/food/information-for-consumers/travellers/what-can-i-bring-into-canada-/eng/1389648337546/1389648516990#a2 ), but there's no food that I'd like to take with.
Am I allowed to bring a few packages of oatmeal and buckwheat porridge in Canada as well as Nutrilite vitamins?
Which type of nuts are required to have the documents? Or all types are?
Am I allowed also to take first-aid medicaments? (against cold, etc.)
Thanks!

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
It is important to confirm this type of information before travelling.
As you are aware, every traveller entering Canada must declare all food, plants, animals and related products. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) are responsible for monitoring and enforcing import requirements.
As you have noticed on those websites, the specific items you have mentioned are not listed there.
If you need more information on personal imports of food, plant and animals you may want to contact the CFIA National Import Service Centre (NISC) here:
National Import Service Centre 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. (Eastern Time) Telephone and EDI: 1-800-835-4486 (Canada or U.S.A.) 1-289-247-4099 (local calls and all other countries) Facsimile: 1-613-773-9999
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
