Notice to enter unit

My landlord has given me a notice that they are entering all apartments in the building to check the AC units. This is fine but they simply say they will be entering any time between 9am-5pm from May 9th-May 13th and May 16th-May 20th.
Are they allowed to give such a vague notice that spans over two entire weeks? I have pets so I want to ensure I'm home the day they visit.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
Regarding landlords and entering your unit, you can find some detailed information regarding rent increases and what is allowed in our Settlement.Org Can my landlord enter my home? article.
Here is an excerpt regarding entry,
Usually, your landlord must:
- Send you a note that says why they want to come in,
- Let you know 24 hours before they enter, and
- Come into your home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. only
But, if there is an emergency, your landlord can come into your home without letting you know first.
In terms of the issue regarding your pets, you may want to contact the nearest Community Legal Clinic for some information regarding what your rights are and what your options may be in this situation.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Thanks but that doesn't answer my question. I want to know if they need to give you a specific day or are they allowed to give you 10 different days they might show up?
I guess I'll need to call the board and see if they know.
