Hi,
I landed with my family in March in Toronto and applied for our PR cards.
We left after 10 days and now returning in August.
Can i still drive on an international driving license when i land in August?

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
We can appreciate that you would be interested in this type of information.
You can find some helpful information in our Settlement.Org Is the International Driver's Permit (IDP) valid in Canada? article.
Here is an excerpt,
The IDP is primarily used by visitors to Ontario. If you plan on living in Ontario - that is, you will be a permanent resident living in Ontario - you need to get an Ontario driver's licence within 60 days of moving to Ontario.
As you can see, it states that you need to get an Ontario driver's licence within 60 days of moving to Ontario.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

I have landed 6 weeks ago, obtained my G1 License and now I have a G test in 10 days because of my previous seventeen years of driving experience. I have a question: Why Cant I now use my International Driving License here in Ontario ? How would I practice for driving test? How would I go to driving test center? The only thing I have left is now hiring Driving Schools, and pay them several hundred of dollars.
Isn't this unfair, I cant use my International driving License even for initial 60 days just because I have now obtained G1 license. This G1 is addition to my rights and not a deletion of my rights.
