Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
You can find some information regarding exchanging a licence in our Settlement.Org I have a driver's licence from another country. How do I get an Ontario driver's licence? article.
In terms of your Tandem Truck Licence, you can find some information on the DriveTest website in the Foreign Commercial Drivers’ Licences section.
Here is an excerpt,
Ontario does not have in place any international licence exchange agreements for commercial licences. You cannot exchange a foreign commercial licence for an Ontario commercial licence. If you are new to Ontario but hold a foreign commercial licence, you must follow all the licensing steps from the beginning.
Commercial drivers from countries with licence exchange agreements with Ontario can switch their licences for an Ontario Class G or Class M licence.
You may want to contact DriveTest directly for some information and clarification.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
