Hi
I landed in ontario canada in octobre 2016 as permanent resident with my spouse and 9months old baby.i applied for canada Child benifits and health card s.i started getting benifits in november. Due to some urgency, we have to go to our home country in jan 2017for one year. Now my question is when we will come back to Canada after one year, can we reapply for Child benifits.and what de have to do for that. Also what de need to do before going outside canada.my second question is that since we will not complète 153 days in first six months after landing in canada, our health card will be invalid. So can we reapply for new health card once we are back.
Please guide us. I shall be thankful

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
When you return to Canada, you will have to reapply for the Canada Child Benefits the same way as you did previously. You can find some detailed information in our Settlement.Org How do I apply for the Canada Child Benefit (CCB)? article.
In terms of OHIP coverage, you should contact your local ServiceOntario centre to confirm what your options are based on your circumstances.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
