We have our baby born in October 2016. Since my wife did not have required insurable work hours (around 650 hours) to eligible for EI, I have decided to take the parental leave, and on it right now and will be returning to work on May 1st, 2017. Meanwhile, my wife has started working and we assume that she will have the required hours by the end of April 2017. Can she apply for the remaining portion of the parental leave even if she does not acquire it before the delivery of the baby.

Thanks

Aby
