Landed Immigrant (1968-1985)- Wishes To Return

Long story short - US citizens, received landed status from BC in 1968 (I was 3 years old) and we lived in BC at least 6 months of every year until apprx. 1985 when I got married and moved to Alaska.
My parents sold their business there and moved back to Washington state about 1993 or so.
I have an SIN #, went to school in Little Fort & through the BC Correspondence courses as we lived in a fishing resort in a rural area.
I would like to pursue reinstating my landed status.
The Canadian Immigration website doesn't really have a situation similar to mine & have been a bit difficult to try and get more than a canned response.
Opinion on ease of doing this?
Where to start?
Any ideas how best to do this?

Drive across border without getting reported, stay under radar without Canadian ID for two full years, and then apply for your PR card when you are back in compliance.
