Hello!

I submitted an application based on H&C grounds last week. I am experiencing some difficulties with finding out how mich time roughly it will take for my application to be reviewed. I checked the page with the processing times but it is still a bit confusing for me, which category from the drop down menu best corresponds to my case?

I read online that some people submitted their in July and still got no answer. Unfortunately I have also sent my passport along with other documents and I was wondering how long do I have to wait until I get it back?

Thank you,
Elitsa

Hello;
My husband and I have met in Canada and got married in Canada too.
Before our marriage, he got his CSQ and prepared his documents in order to appply for getting hus PR.
It has been now more than 2 years he is waiting for any response.
Even he obliged to renew his CSQ and his medical results are about to expire as well.
Each time he is sending an email to CIC following his application, but the same answer: " we are doing the security check" .
This is really ridiculous and makes no sense.
I myself got my PR last year and he is on a work permit which is about being expired and no garanties in renewing that.
This problem is affecting our personal life... we have to come back to our country and my PR is going to be forgotten OR we get divorced and that is Canada where everyone around the world believes is an open country to immigrants!!
My husband got his PhD from Canada and is working as an structural engineer in an international company right now.
There is no way to make this problem solved and no way to contact responsible or kind of manager for applications with more than 2 years delay.
I hope someone will read this and give us any kind of help pr information.
Thanks
