  • Tenancies Act does not apply to "Units that are used on a seasonal or temporary basis"

Does this include an instance where we are renting from the owner of the house, a separate basement (our own bathroom and kitchen), but paying month-to-month because he prefers not to have a signed lease? (we intend 4-6 months at this location, we discussed at outset).


Would he be able to evict us on little/no notice based on a whim? Or could we appeal to the board?
