Hi, I am planning to arrive in Canada along with my 10 year old son in mid February.
My city of destination in CoPR is given as Ottawa.
However, due to the presence of friends who are willing to host us for the first couple of weeks, we wish to land in Toronto.
Is it possible?
Is there any possibility of requesting for changing the city of destination to Toronto?
Thank you.

Hello,
When I applied for my PR, it was based on a Job Offer/LMIA from an employer based in Vancouver, BC and hence on my CoPR the destination province is mentioned as BC and the destination city as Vancouver.
Now I have another better job in Toronto, Ontario.
My queries are:
1. Can I land in Toronto, Ontario as a port of entry or do I need to land in Vancouver only?
2. If it is mandatory for me to land in Vancouver BC, after how much time I can move to Toronto Ontario, please?
3. If I land in Vancouver and then move to Toronto, then will that affect when I would apply for citizenship after 3 years, please?
Kindly provide your expert guidance for the above 3 queries if possible, please.
Kind Regards

I could make some educated guesses, but I don't want to lead you in the wrong direction. You should contact a visa office in order to figure out what you need to do from here. You can find out where the nearest visa offices are here.

Received COPR, Saskatchewan - Provincial Nominee (SINP). Intend to land end of March 2018, port of entry will be Toronto (Pearsons). Will take onwards flight to Saskatoon few hours after arrival (to complete the immigration formalities at the PoE).
My CoPR states city of destination as "Regina" whereas I intend to settle in Saskatoon and had always mentioned so while applying for immigration. Was told by friends I can still go to Saskatoon as it is the same province.
Should I continue my travel plans to Saskatoon and mention to the immigration officer accordingly? or I book my flight till Regina and inform immigration officer about the final destination being Regina?

Hi, My Husband me and our 2 year old got CoPR through express entry( without provincial nomination) and our destination is Ontario. I have landed and is staying at Toronto, Ontario. My Husband and son are travelling on April.
But they are landing in Montreal, Quebec and then taking a connection flight to Toronto after 3 hours.
1. Will they be doing their landing formalities at Montreal or Toronto?
2. Will that be a problem because they do not have CSQ(Quebec certificate of selection - which is mandatory for settling in quebec) ? After all they are not intending to stay in Quebec and their final destination is Toronto.
3. What documents can be provided as proof that they are not going to stay in Quebec?
Thanks Serene

1. "landing" will be done at Montreal. 2. No, as you have onward transportation outside Quebec. 3. Onward airline ticket.

I am a Saskatchewan PNP. I will be entering Canada via Calgary. Is it compulsory to take a connecting flight from Calgary itself to Regina or can I spend a few days with my cousin in Calgary and then proceed.
