I am in a low income housing my landlord said I am over housed and now she increase my rent of almost 800$ can she do it or can't she because I don't even have that much money on my Ontario Works check

Scroll down to "Rent Increases" on CLEO's information site (url); you can also contact the Landlord & Tenant Board; you can also look up a Legal Aid Community Legal Services clinic in your area to have a caseworker assigned to advocate for you and to advise you (use google) - these services are for free to people living in low income.

Over-housed people in low income are fast-tracked to subsidized housing because that's a priority category - ex. Toronto (url)
- check with the coordinated access centre in your community (url)
