My niece and nephew are on holiday with me in Toronto.

I recently get custody for them through the Ontario court. They father gave me full custody (my sister pass away) They are under 16 years old.

Can I sponsor them for permanent residence to Canada.

I don't want to send them back to home country - Guyana

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

We can appreciate that you would be interested in what your options are in this situation.

You can find some information on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website in the Requirements to sponsor a child section.

You may want to contact the IRCC Call Centre to speak to a representative for some additional information.

We suggest that it is important and probably best that you speak to a Lawyer who is familiar with Canadian immigration issues for additional information regarding your family situation.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
