OHIP Coverage for the Returning Canadian

Greetings,
To speak a brief situation that I am currently into, I hold valid Canadian citizenship and I have been worked in overseas for 405 days until now.
I am returning to Canada on April 14, 2019 and I just heard about the OHIP coverage will take up to three months for the returning Canadians. By looking at the other people who asked the similar type of questions, I am not qualified in the exemption of waiting three months period.
My question is whether I can apply now even though I am outside of Canada and what are the required documents that I need to submit to avoid three months waiting period.

Unfortunately, you are unable to apply for OHIP from outside Canada.
In terms of your situation, you may want to try and contact ServiceOntario directly to find out what you will be required to present.
