I have been landed and PR since 1982. (From UK)

I need to get a PR card as I have never applied for one I was wondering if I were to leave to go to the US by air in April

could I be refused re-entry

I did fly about 7 years ago not knowing that it was a requirement (to the UK) and I didnt have any issue coming back through Montreal.

I was travelling with my wife and showed them my marriage certificate

If it is an absolute requirement how long does it take

Help appreciated !!

Hello,
Please check the following link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=064&top=10
You can check the processing time for applying for a PR card using the following link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html#
You can apply for Urgent processing of PR card and get it earlier if you meet some requirements.
Please check the following link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/urgent.html
Have a nice day.
