Hello Everyone! Hope you are fine
Would be appreciated if anyone can help us in the below.
Summary:
My wife and I got our COPR valid till Nov 2019 but she will give birth in March 2019 in Lebanon since we wont get covered by OHIP etc.. Anyway, in this case, how do i sponsor my newly born ?
1) Must i as the primary file go do ''landing'' in Canada before the baby is born and come back to Lebanon? stay till summer then leave with my wife for good in Canada and make visit visa to the baby and sponsor her there? keep renewing her visit visa till her sponsorship is complete?
2) OR can i stay with my wife in Lebanon and once baby is born we notify Canada and travel together with baby before our visa ends, this way we make tourist visa for the baby in Canada till her inland sponsorship is done
Thanks again in advance for the help

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
We can appreciate that you would be very concerned about this situation.
It is best that you contact the nearest Canadian Visa office for some information regarding what you should do.
You may also want to consult a reputable lawyer who is familiar with Canadian immigration laws and processes or a reputable, registered immigration consultant.
It may be helpful for you to read about the fairly complicated process involved for permanent residents of Canada to sponsor a child born overseas after receiving Canadian permanent residence in one of our previous Settlement.Org Permanent Resident - Child Born Overseas discussion threads.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
