Disability Income for Sponsored Immigrant

Hi,
I sponsored my parents and my sister about 3 years ago. They live with me in my home. My sister has severe developmental delay and autism right from birth. After arriving in Canada, she was officially diagnosed by certified physiologist. She is now assigned a proper case worker by Community Living BC. Thats all good.
Question:
My understanding is that if my sister qualifies for Disability Income from the province (BC), and she does qualify, I will be required to pay for that because I sponsored her and 10 years have not passed yet.
Am I wrong about that?
I am looking to confirm this assumption.
Has anyone else gone through this process?
Thanks

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your sister's situation with and your question with us.
You mentioned that you are in the province of British Columbia.
You can find some helpful information on the Legal Services Society website in the Sponsorship Breakdown section.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
