Smoking Cigarettes in backyard of Townhouse

I live in Kitchener, ON and rent a townhouse.
I smoke cigarettes but not inside my unit.
Only in my backyard.
Recently, the property management group informed me they received a complaint from one of the two nextdoor neighbors on either side of me for smoking.
They said I am not to smoke within 9 metres of any entrance, window, etc. Given how small the back yards are, that is impossible to be 9 metres or more from an entrance or window.
This is not mentioned in my lease. Only that I can't smoke inside, which I don't.
Also, I am aware of the 9 metre rule for public buildings or entrances to apartment buildings but not a backyard of a townhouse. Can I get evicted for this or get in any real trouble if I continue? Thanks.
