Hello Moderator,
Please help me on this. I have a valid Bridging Open Work Permit and I am waiting for my PR under CEC Express Entry. My 6th month will be on August 2019. I need to travel outside of Canada by last week of September just for 5 days. I just want to ask if in case God's willing I will be granted my PR before I travel and let's say I have not received my PR Card yet. Can I still use my Temporary Resident Visa to re-enter Canada even if PR is approved but have not received the PR card. Or they will cancel my Temporary resident Visa? I can't apply for PRTD in the country Im going because I will only be there for 5 days and it is really important.
Please help.
Thank You

1,. No, once you become a PR, your TRV is cancelled.
2. Your best bet is to delay your "landing" go on your trip and "land" on your return. Assuming your COPR is issued then.

Hi I am in a very critical situation right now.
I am a long haul commercial truck driver who recently became a PR.
I have been waiting for my pr card and it has already been mailed out by CIC.
Its been 2 months since I haven’t worked at all as I wanted to get this whole process done smoothly.
However now it’s getting impossible for me to not resume my work.
I was wondering if I could re enter Canada with my stamped COPR and Indian passport in a commercial tractor trailer?
I have read all the links given on the cbsa website but there is nowhere I could find anything that mentioned about re entering on a commercial tractor trailer.
According to CBSA you do not need a pr card to re enter if the vehicle you are traveling in is not meant for public use and commercial tractor trailers are also not used for transportation of public.
Does anyone have an accurate answer to my question? Things are getting worse for me day by day as its not easy to be able to survive without work for 2 months.

Hi Need help !! I have a situation as I , my wife and my 11 years old daughter are PR's of Canada ( SINP Nomination ) since 30th Sep'2017. We landed in Sep'17 and after staying in Canada ( Toronto ) till 3rd Nov '17 came back to India. Now my wife is expecting and the delivery date is in March'19.Request for your inputs and advise on the following scenario. We were thinking of having the delivery done in India and after that move to Canada in June'20.Wanted to know as to what will be the procedure of taking the child along with us. What would be the best option for us keeping in mind your interactions on this forum? Thanks !!

1,. Your only choice is to apply for a TRV for the child, if it is refused then a TRP (Temporary Resident Permit) If both are refused the only option is for 1 PR parent to return to Canada and apply to sponsor the child.
