Hi All
As a new comer to Ontario - I took the G1 license as soon as I got here - I can now drive using my country's driving license, but for couple of weeks more only (will be 60 days then)
What to do as I can't find any spot to book the full G test?

Any advice is welcome

Hello There,

Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.

After 60 days, you must drive with a valid Ontario licence. You may be able to exchange your licence for an Ontario licence if Ontario has a reciprocal agreement with your country of licensure. You can read more about these options in the Settlement.Org article, I have a driver's licence from another country. How do I get an Ontario driver's licence?. You may also find helpful information in the article, How do I apply for a driver's licence? What documents do I need?.

Once you have a G2 or equivalent, you may book a road test at a Drive Test centre. These appointments are usually booked months in advance, but there may be earlier appointments available.

We hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to post them here.

Sincerely,

Your Settlement.Org Team
