Hello,

It all depends on the "Return shortly" because I believe based on the dates you provided , you still have time to return to Canada and meet the 730 days residency requirement. I believe as of today, you spent 1063 days outside Canada.
According to the IRCC website:
"To keep your permanent resident status, you must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years. These 730 days don’t need to be continuous. Some of your time abroad may count towards the 730 days."

Hello,

According to the IRCC website, if you’re outside Canada without a valid PR card, you need to apply for a permanent resident travel document (PRTD).
BUT, to keep your permanent resident status, you must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years. These 730 days don’t need to be continuous. Some of your time abroad may count towards the 730 days.

Please check the following link answering the question: Can I lose my permanent resident status?
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1468&top=10
Reasons you may be inadmissible to Canada:
failure to comply with any provision of IRPA
Examples of failure to comply with IRPA include:

**Permanent residents who haven’t lived in Canada for the required amount of time**

Hope this is useful.

Thank you very much, My other issue is that as of today Canada has banned flights from India, My worry is that if the bank continues for another 3 months, then i lose days to meet my 730 days, Then what are the steps that i need to do ?

I was planning to return by May 30 , 2021.
