Hi,

I am trying to apply citizenship application.
I have been in permanent resident position for 5 years
Problem is I filed the tax return in Canada for recent 3 years.
I did not file for 2 years, b/c I had to work in the USA and returned to Canada with job.
It seems to me that I had no residential tie in Canada but PR position for the 2 years.

If I apply now, is it possible whether citizenship officer delays or rejects my application by helping CRA to investigate my case?

Hi,

According to IRCC, you may need to file taxes in Canada for at least 3 years during the 5 years right before the date you apply.
