The signature part of the form "imm1344" says "I agree that by typing my name, I am electronically signing my application"! Does it mean that we don't need to print the application to sign it manually (neither by sponsor nor principal applicant)?

The portion of that application allows you to type your name using Adobe's PDF reader. This means that typing your name in that box is considered a valid electronic signature for this application.
