Hi,
I've been on Disability assistance the past few years due to an accident. I haven't left the country in the past 5 years and my taxes filing are up to date. I've been living in the same address.
I noticed that now there are more requirements for applying for the PR Card replacement, my father had major surgery and I couldn't go be there to be with him becacuse I've never replaced my PR card. In fact twice before I had to get one of them permits because I had unplanned trips abroad with other surgeries for my father.. But this time I didn't want to test my luck.

I'm concerned of losing my status as a resident because I'm on social assistance. Could anyone let me know? I believe I meet the requirements just by being here for the past five years, but I'm unsure as to what exact documents to provide to make sure it goes smoothly.

Any guidance would be benefitial,
Thank you.
