Once you have the new job offer and LMIA, you'll need to apply for a new closed work permit tied to the new position. Here's the Canadian government resource for extending or changing work permit conditions, including changing employers: [Government of Canada - Extend or change the conditions on your work permit] |

With your UCI and reference number, you can now access the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) online portal to complete the formal sponsorship application for your spouse. You'll need to upload all the required documents and pay the processing fee. |

Online application for PR renewal: uploading docs?

Hello! On the Online renewal application, there is an option for uploading documents to prove residency. However, I only uploaded one bank statement and I don't see the option to add a line or add that same document. The table only opens up again for another entry if you choose a different type of document, for example a passport. I have a lot of docs proving residency! How to upload them?
Check if the application allows uploading combined documents. For instance, you could combine multiple bank statements (if they're for the same period) into a single PDF file. |

This is mandatory almost everywhere. It proves your RV is registered and roadworthy. Obtained from your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or similar agency. |

Can I provide proof of income through a combination of sources, such as bank statements, tax returns, and employment letters, to strengthen my application?
Different documents showcase income in different ways. Bank statements provide a recent snapshot of your cash flow, tax returns show your annual income, and employment letters verify your current employment and salary. Combining them paints a more comprehensive picture of your financial situation. |

Moving to Quebec after landing in Ontario with FSW

Hi,
I have completed my landing (FSW, not PNP) and obtained my SIN in Ontario more than a year ago. After staying in Canada for more than two months, I left. Since then, I am living outside of Canada and requesting my personal network for job opportunities/referrals anywhere in Canada (other than Quebec). Now a Quebec based employer is offering me a job. If I accept this job, relocate to Quebec, and complete my settlement (first driver's license and health card), would it potentially cause a problem during/after my citizenship application three years down the line?
While residency requirements apply across Canada, Quebec has its own immigration system for selecting newcomers. However, your permanent resident status issued by the federal government remains valid throughout Canada, including Quebec. |

You'll need to submit an application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to change the employer details on your work permit. This can be done online through the IRCC web portal. |

Most public schools offer ESL programs specifically designed to help children learn English. These programs typically involve small group instruction or pull-out sessions where your kids can focus on language acquisition with a qualified teacher. |

Hello
I received my COPR and my marital status is stated single but I informed IRCC of my change in marital status and added my spouse to my application. My COPR has the wrong information and when I submitted a form it went from approved to processing application, what can I do? Did my confirmation change? Will my wife be recognized on my application? I did inform IRCC months ago...
- Consider attaching a copy of your marriage certificate and any previous communication with IRCC regarding your spouse being added to the application.

Hi there, I am an international post-graduate student in Toronto. During my study here (roughly 1.5 years), I would like to work remotely for my employer in home country.
I find the following information from your website: "According to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR), you can work here remotely as a visitor without a work permit for extended periods provided that: - You work for a non-Canadian company that offers business services outside of Canada. - The employer pays you outside of Canada. - The non-Canadian company has no Canadian operations, branches, or services offered here." I can confirm my job fulfills all three criteria mentined above.
But will my international student status make me ineligible to work remotely for my home country employer? Also, how long may that "extended periods" be? Would appreciate your advice. Thank you

Hi, I am currently on my study permit and my permit has all the eligible conditions to work off-campus. I want to know am I legally able to open my online dropshipping business as an international student in Canada? If yes, what are the things should I take care of? Do I need to register the business?
- Off-campus work authorization on your study permit allows part-time jobs (usually up to 20 hours per week during school and full-time during breaks).

I am a permanent resident in Ottawa and I come from Turkey. I would like to ask about my eligibility for pensions and benefits from Canada since there is a social agreement signed between the two countries. Could you please let me know what I should do to make my working days in Turkey valid in Canada? How could I get to retire in Canada with my working days in Turkey? Thank you,
Canada and Turkey signed a social security agreement in 2005. This agreement allows you to combine your contribution periods (working days) in both countries to potentially qualify for Canadian pensions like Old Age Security (OAS) and Canada Pension Plan (CPP). |

Hi,
My first language is French and I just finished college, the French College Boreal. I live in Brampton, ON. I still have a valid international student visa but applied for permanent resident status as I meet criteria. I would like to master my English before looking for a bilingual job. ESL providers told me that I have first to get a level assessment. Would Language Assessment Centres accept my Immigration status?
Many international students use LACs to demonstrate their English language skills for academic or professional purposes. Your valid international student visa shouldn't be an obstacle. |

To be eligible for Canadian citizenship, you generally need to have been a permanent resident of Canada for at least 3 out of the 5 years (1,095 days) before you apply. While your previous stay in Ontario counts, leaving Canada for an extended period might raise questions about your intention to reside in Canada. |
