9/21/2009 Topic: How to prove Ontario Residency? user	I am a Canadian citizen who moved to the US 5 years ago to complete a masters degree. Since graduating, I have been working in the states on a TN visa. My husband and I (he is also Canadian, working on a TN) would like to move home asap to be with our aging parents. I was able to find a job as a stop-motion animator with the animation studio I worked for before moving to the states. They would like to hire me, but can only hire "Ontario Residents", due to the film tax credit they receive. I have been trying to find out how I become an Onatrio Resident again, but have not been able to find information for returning Canadians. Can you tell me what I need to do and what the timeline is? 9/19/2011 Topic: How can we contact the PR Card centre directly? user	I am canadian citizen, I sponsored my wife and my son, and they landed in June 2011, by August, 2011 my wife received her PR card. We called the immigration asking about my son's, the told us call within a month. We called after 2 weeks they said they have sent an email to center in Nova Scotia and the respond will come after one month. I am wondering what could be the reason and why can't we communicate with issuing center directly?

They have custody of 3 dependant kids is on OW and applied for ODSP but they are willing to go to school in a wheel-chair all the time. And I have been told that I can't get that code or establish the account until my Social Insurance Number has been reactivated. How can I do this? Where can I get the forms to fill out to get it done? Many thanks.

For forty years of employment, so we want to get back all that insurance money, we are retired, that money was our insurance policy so it is ours we want it back. If we do not get it back who uses our insurance months?
6/12/2014 Topic: EI and Sponsorship user	I am a sponsor for my wife who is now a permanent resident. I receive a letter in the mail a while back saying that I could not receive EI benefits if I am to be a sponsor. My wife is due to give birth to our second child in two months and am wondering if I am eligable for EI payments while I'm on parental leave? Or does this violate the agreement? I phoned immigration but they said it's an agreement between me and the province of Ontario and I'm not quite sure who to contact next? Maybe you can help me :)
7/15/2014 Topic: Can a PR be Deported for a DUI? user	If a PR was charged and convicted of a Driving While Intoxicated a few years ago, can they leave the country, say go to the USA for a few days? Would they be permitted back into Canada, or is is possible she would be deported? The person is a citizen of the United Kingdom and a permanent resident of Canada.

I bought a house in 2011 and sold in Nov. 2011 and have not lived in a house that I own since that time. Does this mean that I am eligible to qualify as a first time homeowner by Nov. 2015? Or when? would I also qualify for the tax exemption? Thanks
9/9/2014 Topic: Why did the Officer Stamp Her Passport? user	Hi, Me and my family a PR since june 2013, we've done our landing and went back to our origin to settle things before the final move to Canada. When my wife entered this week, the immigration offers were asking her why you have been away for a year and where?!!. Eventually, they stamped her passport and all my kids passports. My concern is that why they did that, why did they stamp the passport although we are residents and we have the right to leave and stay as long we are within the 5 years period. Please advise me.
