As I am moving to Toronto with my family in few weeks , I need to Know whether I have to authenticate or certify all our certificates and report from the Canadian Embassy or no need for that since the officer at the consulate could not confirm it.

PRC Renewal - Which Passport do we use?

My family PRC will expire in Aug 2016, while our passports which we used for the immigration process including the landing will expire in July 2016.
My question is that after renewing passport , we will apply to renew PRC cards ,which passport should be used to renew PRC and should we expect problem due to that .
