Topic: Period outside Canada - PR Issues

Hello All,
I am a new resident in Canada, but as many immigrants I left some unsolved issues back home, I'm expecting to be 8 months off Canada and then come back to assess my credentials and settle down.

NOW MY PROBLEM IS I RECENTLY HEARD THE PR OBLIGATIONS WILL CHANGE IN 2015.

And after spending six months outside of Canada I have to be back here and live here for six months to keep my PR status.

Is that true?

When will this regulation be effective if it is happening?
