Topic: Is it legal to work if waiting for work permit?

hi:
My probem is that my study permit will be expired at July 31 and I still waiting for the work permit which is submitted in June and is still in processing. My question is that if this is legal for me to contunin to work after study permit expired ??
PS: I got my study permit after 1 Jun 2014.
My SIN number will be expired as the same the day as study permit.
