Pertaining to question 11 sub k : "In the past four years, was your child present in any country, other than Canada, for at least 6 months cumulative) , If you have checked "YES" provide police certificates for each country (for children 14 years of age and older) ".
In my child's case, the answer is YES. However, he was then only 11 years of age. Do we he need to provide police certificate from that country ?
The child came and reside in Canada at age of 12 now he's 14.

Hi Anna,
Thanks. So therefore , while my answer is "yes" to the question, we don't need to provide police certificate because he was only 11 years old then?

I did call but they refused to clarify. Instead advised me to consult the CIC guideline, a lawyer or community discussion forum.
My interpretation or understanding of the guideline may or may not be correct. I just want to avoid application returned for that reason.
