Topic: Travelling with an Expired PR card

Dear all,
Been looking everywhere for a solid answer but coming up short. Maybe you can help me out.

I'm a Canadian permanent resident for reference.

I'm planning on traveling mid-February 2016 to the UK for 10 days or so. My PR card is currently expired - I've reapplied for a new one, but still haven't received it. Given that my original nationality requires a visa to the UK, do I need to apply for one or can I use my expired PR?
