Urgent-Travelling with Expired PR card

Hello, My pr card expired on november 2015. I'm planning to travel to South Korea on December 18th. I applied for an urgent pr card renewal on November 13th and I confirmed that CIC sent me the new pr card on Dec 1st. However, it has still not come and it is now Dec 12. I called CIC several times and they said that it usually takes two days to get here.. (I live in Toronto) and they were not sure either.
I'm not sure what happened to my mail (new pr card), but I really need to visit South Korea because my dad is sick. I'm coming back on Jan 10th 2016 which is only three weeks, so I can't apply for pr travel document.
What happens if I re-enter Canada with expired pr card? If I take my driver's licence, health card, student card, landing paper, tax return form, etc, would it help? Please help me. Thank you |
