Passport will Expire After Landing - Questions

Hi
Currently I am in INDIA and my daughter's passport is going to expire in May-2016 and we are landing CANADA only 10days before expiration i.e. in first week of May. My question is :
Should I renew it from INDIA ( and if, then will it be valid ,since current passport has VISA Stamp?) or I should renew it immediately after landing (and if, then, Can I register while in India)
