Topic: Processing Time Redetermination

Hello,

I have applied for Permanent Residence under the Sponsorship - Family Class - Spouse in Canada category.

My husband was approved as a sponsor back in the summer, I, however was refused on the grounds of (unreasonable) doubts about cohabitation.

We filed for Judicial Review with the help of a lawyer and immediately received a settlement response from the Department of Justice. We filed a notice of discontinuance and the file was returned to CIC for re-determination. This was in September 2015. I still have not heard back from CIC.

How long will it take for them to process the re-determination? I called CIC last week and they can't even see on their end that the case has been re-opened.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!
