I live in a building where heat, electricity, water is included in the rent.
Each apartment has there own thermostat.
My landlord recently installed thermostats that limit the maximum temperature.
Does anyone know the legality of using space heaters?
The new thermostats are wifi enabled so they report back to the building manager.
If the temperature is raised with space heaters and is kept at too high a temperature, can the landlord evict you? |

Mark Kenney, COO of CAPREIT says: “Market Analysts keep pointing to our submetering program as a positive driver in our stock price. When we convert a suite to ‘plus electricity’ it’s equivalent to a 5% rent increase“.
