Hello Settlement Org.
My cousin council who had made a big mistake by submitting his spouse sponsorship about 4 months too early before the day he would became a Permanent Resident of Canada. He just had learned that his application had been cancel by CIC.
His question now is: how can he correct this mistake? Does he has to re-apply by starting a brand new spousal application? (He is now a Canadian citizen since August, 2016.)
Please help. Thank you.
Best.

Hello OCASI,
My cousin came to Canada last month under spousal sponsorship, she is a chief accountant in her country. Which is the fastest way for her to come back to do her same work as an accountant here in Canada? Her English level presently is level 2.
Thank you for your information in advance.
Best.

Lost Citizenship Card

Hello OCASI,
I had lost my Canadian citizenship card 2 years ago, when I renewed my passport, the staff from the Passport Office told me they did not need my citizenship card, when I was having my old passport. I got my new passport issued, and still have it with me now. My question is:
1- Can I use my new passport to travel without my Canadian citizenship card?
2- If I need to re-place or re-apply for my lost Citizenship Card, where can I start, which is the steps, and does it cost me money?
Thank you for your answers in advance.

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
We can appreciate that you would be concerned about this situation.
Regarding your first question,
1- Can I use my new passport to travel without my Canadian citizenship card?
According to the Travel.gc.ca website in the Certificate of Canadian Citizenship section,
A Certificate of Canadian Citizenship is not a travel document. A Canadian passport is the only reliable and universally accepted travel and identification document available to Canadians for the purpose of international travel. Canadian citizens returning to Canada who present other documents instead of a Canadian passport may face delays or be denied boarding by transport companies.
Regarding your second questions,
2- If I need to re-place or re-apply for my lost Citizenship Card, where can I start, which is the steps, and does it cost me money?
You can find some detailed information in our Settlement.Org What if my Canadian citizenship certificate is lost or stolen? article.
Additionally, you will find some information on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada website in the I’ve lost my citizenship card/certificate. How do I replace it? section.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
