Topic: Will I have OHIP Coverage?

Hello

I am a PR.

I arrived in Bowmanville on November 17

I applied for OHIP on November 18, i will be eligible for OHIP after 3 months

However, I received a news that my grandfather has a cancer in Peru so I will be abroad for 1 month in Peru.

My question is, can i stay in Peru for 1 month ? , will the waiting time be affect or will i receive my OHIP 3 months?
