Topic: Enter with Visitor Visa instead of PRTD- Possible?

Hi there!
I need advise in the following situation:
I did my landing process in Canada, I was not able to get a PR card as I did not have an address in Canada where I would be present for next 3 months.
I am now back in the US and need to travel back to Canada. I also have a valid multiple entry visitor visa to Canada.
Can I enter Canada on the visitor visa? I only need to be in Canada for a few days.
please advise if you are aware of the rules.
