Topic: Processing time for PRTD on H & C grounds

Hi,

I got PR in 2010 which expired in June 2015. However I stayed in Canada for about 1 and a half year during that period, but my wife (4 months) and children (only for one month). I had to come back in Nov 2014 due to general ill health of my mother in law who was later diagnosed as having Lung Cancer. However I have cleared many of the liscense exams which are required for being able to practise as a doctor in Canada.

I have submitted my application for PRTD in Chandigarh, India on 5th of January 2018. Initially, we were given the processing time of 25 days. But now it has been more than 2 months and the tracking is showing " Under Processing ". However, I urgently need my son's passport as he has to go abroad . I have already e-mailed the visa office for urgent processing about a month back , but I still got no response.

My queries are :
1. How long does it generally take for the processing of PRTD on H & C grounds?
2. Will it be possible to get only my son's passport for a short period of time for applying for visa for his trip?
