Short-term work contract and overseas travel

I have submitted my documents for PR application in early September. I am currently residing in Canada on a work visa.

Since I applied for PR, I received a three-month contract that requires me to travel abroad on work for two months. I was unemployed at the time of submitting my application and I received the short-term contract only after submitting the application. My concerns are these:

1) Should I inform IRCC about the short-term contract (since this is a not a full-time role for 12 months)?
2) Would I have to notify IRCC about my travel plans? There is no change in my Canadian address that I have indicated in the PR application. While I won't be at my Canadian address for the two months I am travelling, I will be staying at the same address once I return from my trip.

Can someone please tell me if I have to update the information in my file? Would doing so delay the processing of my application?

Regards,
