Thank you for your question regarding the citizenship study guide and congratulations on getting asked to write the citizenship test!
This conflicting information can be frustrating but it sounds like you are becoming well prepared to write your test.
Please keep in mind the only official study guide for the citizenship test is Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of Citizenship, available from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
There are very small differences between the print, audio and electronic versions of official Discover Canada guide. However, these differences won’t affect your ability to prepare for the citizenship test. Where possible we have shared correct information and links to their sources on our sister website CitizenshipCounts.ca.
Since you have applied for citizenship and are preparing for the citizenship test, your primary resource should be the official study guide. If you use any other material to prepare for the citizenship test, like the CitizenshipCounts.ca website, it should be in a supplementary manner.
You may want to try and contact the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Call Centre directly to see if they possibly have any additional information and suggestions regarding this.
