Lanlord ask for family picture during application

Hello,
My husband and I applied to rent a house in Brampton. We submitted credit report/scores, job letters each, 2 pay stubs each, 4 referrals and filled out the 401K application. We met in person at the property then after submitted the first and last rent payments.
The following day, we were asked to send driver's license, previous rental payment history and bank statements yet we still haven't received a lease document to sign from the landlord.
Is this landlord asking for too much? Can we refuse to show our bank statements especially after they confirmed our referrals and contacted our employment offices? It feels very invasive. |
