Hello:

I am waiting on my mother’s PRTD application on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. It has been 7 months since IRCC received all the required documents to process her PRTD. It says the file is in review but there is no update at all.

All of us siblings live in Canada. My mom was a PR for 12 years until she settled in our home country 12 years ago.

Can you please tell me how long it took your application to process on Humanitarian and Compassionate grounds. We initially applied for her Supervisa a year ago but the IRCC gave us the option to request PRTD 8 months ago.

Please let me know if there is any estimate of time or escalating the case.
