Topic: Urgent PR Renewal Application - Delayed

My mother needed to go back home urgently, her PR is expiring in sept 2014.

Because we are not sure when she is going to be back, we applied to renew her PR card under urgent processing and attached her travel documents for May 29.

when i called CIC office to investigate about the status on May 22, they told me that by mistake they have not flagged the application to be urgent and asked to me to fill out another form and send it to them via email and they will immediately start working on the file.

i sent them the information they needed.

we also delayed my mom's travel to June 4 thinking that we hopefully will receive the PR card.

Now she is gone and we received the letter to pick up the card at local CIC office.

I did get her to sign the form, for me to act as her representative.since its not our fault, are there any chances that they will give me her PR card.

My mother also took her not expired PR card with her.
