An apartment without a job?

Hello,
I've seen the older posts that sort of address this issue. But I was wondering if anyone had experience renting an apartment in Toronto without having a job yet?
I'm curious if a landlord would typically accept a bank statement in lieu of a job if there's a substantial amount of money in the account. Is it legal to pay for up to 4-6 months in advance to prove you have the money?
I'll be arriving next month and am not sure I'll have a job yet.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for private health care providers?
I've read the articles here and been to https://www.olhi.ca/insurance-finder/ but that site is not helpful at all.
Can you actually buy normal health care in Canada or do you have to buy "expat insurance" from other company's(mostly in Europe).
I'm not sure why this is so difficult. |
