You advised: Your father can access his 'customs declaration' records from Canada Border Services Agency.
He can request for his Advance Passenger Information/Passenger Name Record (API/PNR)
This procedure will provide the "Advance Passenger Information/Passenger Name Record" (as-stated), not the "customs declaration records".
And, according to the linked info page: http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/security-securite/api_ipv-eng.html
API/PNR data is kept for three-and-a-half years from the date of receipt and then destroyed. If the subject of API/PNR data is under active investigation, the information is transferred to a CBSA enforcement database and kept for up to six years.
Which will not be too much help for someone (like me) who has been here for many many years..... |
