Topic: OHIP Coverage for the Returning Canadian

Greetings,

To speak a brief situation that I am currently into, I hold valid Canadian citizenship and I have been worked in overseas for 405 days until now.

I am returning to Canada on April 14, 2019 and I just heard about the OHIP coverage will take up to three months for the returning Canadians. By looking at the other people who asked the similar type of questions, I am not qualified in the exemption of waiting three months period.

My question is whether I can apply now even though I am outside of Canada and what are the required documents that I need to submit to avoid three months waiting period.
