Already in Canada-When does 1st PR Card arrive?

I currently live in Canada. On 24 Mar, my PR application status changed to 'approved' in my account (but haven't received any further message). I already sent in 2 photographs and return envelopes to Ottawa. I have pre-existing travel plans for a work trip to Oregon in May, returning to Canada on May 29.
I know the processing time is ~46 days for new/first time PR cards & that new immigrants don't need to apply.
But I don't understand: 1) If that also applies to people already living in Canada (everything I am reading is basically "when you get to Canada, you have 180 days to tell CIC your address, and then it's ~46 days")
2) When the 46 day 'clock' starts (from the date my PR is approved?) since I am already here
3) If I should expect the PR card and my PR visa to come in the mail in the same envelope (CIC had recently had us send them a pre-paid return envelope and photos - I think for a PR visa or COPR)
Would appreciate any insights. |

Good question - I'm in basically the same boat & will be interested in hearing what others had to say. |
