Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation and question with us.
Regarding landlords and entering your unit, you can find some detailed information regarding rent increases and what is allowed in our Settlement.Org Can my landlord enter my home? article.
Here is an excerpt regarding entry,
Usually, your landlord must:
- Send you a note that says why they want to come in,
- Let you know 24 hours before they enter, and
- Come into your home between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. only
But, if there is an emergency, your landlord can come into your home without letting you know first.
In terms of the issue regarding your pets, you may want to contact the nearest Community Legal Clinic for some information regarding what your rights are and what your options may be in this situation.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.

Letter of Invitation - Required?

Hello,
Thank you for sharing your situation with us.
You can find some information specific to invitation letters on the IRCC website.
Here is an excerpt,
Sometimes, when you apply for a visa to visit Canada, we ask you to give us a letter of invitation from someone in Canada.A letter of invitation does not guarantee that we will issue a visa. Visa officers assess you to decide whether you meet the terms of Canada's immigration law.
and
Writing a letter of invitation does not mean you are legally responsible for the visitor once he or she gets to Canada. You should still write the letter in good faith.
If you have been asked for a letter of invitation, the person who will be writing the letter in Canada may want to contact the IRCC for some detailed information regarding what is required to be included in an invitation letter.
Regarding your question about whether or not you require the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) , you can find this information on the IRCC website.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions and if there is any follow up to your question/situation.
